The Highlights
Tarbut al-Hayy
A session where guests learn traditional dances, such as Dabke, and then witness a performance. Additionally, The Bliss is equipped with pianos, lyres, and other instruments for the restaurants and communal areas. Musicians perform at specific times of the day.
Kibbutz
The Bliss Mahal's small fruit farm, “Kibbutz”, invites guests to embark on a camel ride to the picturesque location, where they can learn from desert agrotech innovations and enjoy a hands-on experience in planting and harvesting fruits inside the greenhouse, providing a glimpse to water conservation and ethical farming. The visit concludes with a scenic picnic overlooking the crater.
The Bilss Gala
A session where guests dress in traditional garments, learn about their historical and cultural significance, and participate in a mini fashion parade showcasing the styles of different eras and communities, followed by a DJ house party at the desert dining space “Chadar Ohel”.
Kol HaLaila
A session where guests gather for an evening under the stars, learning about the region’s constellations and legends, enhancing their sense of place and connection to nature. Part of the evening includes environmental consciousness and an introduction to environmental non-profit organisations. The session concludes with a guided astrological meditation and live bohemian music accompanied by snacks.
Shuk A Mahal
A bi-weekly recreated marketplace experience where guests can barter, explore goods, and hear anecdotes of historical trade routes connecting the desert to the world, accompanied by a shopping experience of incense, traditional snacks, souvenirs and clothing.
Soy Humano
Throughout the stay, The Bliss Mahal arranges guided journaling sessions in small groups and individually, where guests reflect on their experiences (past), achievements (present), and aspirations (future). They reflect on the meaning of non-material concepts such as love and home, belief systems, identity, trauma and core values.
